Saving a Scene
Saving a scene in Mesh Inspector serves as a bookmark for your progress, capturing the current view, selected objects, lighting, camera settings, and more.
To save a scene:
Click the 'Save Scene' button, or press Ctrl + S for a quick save.
Your scene will be stored in the native Mesh Inspector format (.mru) in the opened file directory.
Next time you open it, you'll pick up right where you left off, making it perfect for ongoing projects within the software.
Exporting 3D Models
Exporting is a crucial step for collaboration and utilizing your 3D model in other environments, allowing you to share your masterpiece with the world or use it in different software.
Mesh Inspector supports export for Meshes, Point Clouds, Voxels, Polylines, and Distance Maps, each with a corresponding icon next to the file name.
To export:
Select an object or several objects of the same type from the list on the left column or by clicking directly on the object in the scene.
Ensure to stick to one file format type per export, as you can't export different file types simultaneously.
The save and export icons are conveniently located at the top left corner of your screen, accessible from any screen within the software, ensuring you can save or export with ease.
